Taking blood thinners such as Aspirin, Advil, Aleve, Motrin, Fish Oil, Vitamins A, B, C or E or consuming alcoholic beverages may increase the risk of bruising. Consult your physician prior to stopping any prescribed medication.
Do not drink alcoholic beverages 24 hours before your treatment to avoid extra bruising.
Avoid products that can be irritating to the skin (i.e., tretinoin/retin-a, glycolic acid or benzoyl peroxide) for 2-3 days prior to treatment.
You may use topical anesthetic in the office prior to your scheduled appointment (please arrive 30 minutes prior to procedure).
If you have a history of cold sores, we recommend a course of antiviral medication pre and post treatment in order to prevent an outbreak of cold sores if you are prone to them.

Please thoroughly clean the treatment area and do not wear makeup.
You may experience a mild amount of tenderness or stinging during and following the treatment.
Post-Treatment Instructions:
After treatment there may be moderate swelling, redness and possible bruising. These symptoms will resolve in about 7 days. Apply Arnica cream to help minimize the bruising.
Take Acetaminophen/Tylenol if you experience mild discomfort.
Massage the treatment area 5 times a day, for 5 minutes each time, for 5 days post treatment.
Avoid wearing make-up, lotions or sunscreen for a minimum of 8 hours.
Avoid heat and strenuous activity for 24 hours post injection.
