Eat clean and increase hydration for 3-5 days prior to treatment.
Do not smoke or consume alcohol for at least 3-5 days prior to procedure. Both can impede the effectiveness of the treatment.
Plan 1-2 weeks of no major events in case you bruise or swell.
Discontinue use of steroid medications at least two weeks prior to procedure.
Taking blood thinners such as Aspirin, Advil, Aleve, Motrin, Fish Oil, Vitamins A, B, C or E or consuming alcoholic beverages may increase the risk of bruising. Consult your physician prior to stopping any prescribed medication.
Drink at least 16 oz of water before treatment.
Eat a meal before your treatment in order to keep your blood sugar stable during your treatment.
If you have a history of cold sores, we recommend a course of antiviral medication pre and post treatment in order to prevent an outbreak of cold sores if you are prone to them.
Notify your provider if you have a needle phobia so they can take proper precautions.
Notify your provider if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Be prepared for a slight wait time after the blood draw while the sample is prepared for injection. Immediately following the procedure, you will be asked to remain still and rest for a short period. If you feel weak or light-headed, advise your provider immediately.
Post-Treatment Instructions:
Optimal results are achieved with a series of 3-6 treatments depending on the patient.
Avoid touching the injected area for 24 hours.
Avoid wearing make-up, lotions or sunscreen for a minimum of 8 hours.
Avoid heat and strenuous activity for 24 hours post injection.
Avoid laying on your face for long periods of time (i.e., side-sleeping, or massage) for 1 week.
Do not apply ice or heat to the injection site.

Redness and/or swelling are common and should resolve within 24-48 hours.
You may resume your regular skin care routine one week following treatment, or as directed by your skincare provider.
Please notify the office right away if there is pain, discoloration or blistering after the injection appointment.
